How to access the Internet via your standard MS Calculator

When your browser(s) is/are messed up for some unexplainable reason
1. Open your MS Calculator. This is normally found in Start => All Programs => Accessories => Calculator.
2. Open the help-window by pressing the F1 key.
3. Click the top-left corner icon of the help window once (Standard is a Document with a Questionmark).
4. Select Go to URL-address.
5. Type your address into the avaliable field, but remember to type http:// and not just www. (or equivalent).
6. Have fun!

Increase shutdown speed in XP

Here is how you do it:

1:-Click: Start
2:-Then Click: Run (In Start Menu)
3:-There Type: Regedit
4:-In the registry editor find the Path
Path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
5:-Click on the desktop and find the keys: HungApp TimeOut
6:-Double Click on it
7:-Change The Current Value To:4000 (its current value maybe :5000 or 20000)

Well done, now lets move to the next step.
9:-Go to the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MECHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\
now, after that, find the at the left side find : WaitToKillServiceTimeOut
10:-Now edit this n change its value to: 4000

Finished.! Exit the registery editor and shut down ur computer, you will immediately find a difference in the shut down speed

Hide an entire partition on your Hard Disk!!

Suppose you want to hide some porn private stuff on your computer from somebody  and don't want the person to see it, what do you do? Well how about hiding the entire partition? There's no way in hell he's going to find your secret stuff out!!!

Okay here's how to do it.

1. Go to Start > run > type "diskpart".
A DOS window will appear with following description.
DISKPART>
2. Then type "list volume"

The result will look like : ------

--------------- --- -------- ---- ------ ---- ------ ----
Volume 0 F CD-ROM
Volume 1 C Window_XP NTFS Partition 7000MB Healthy System

3. Suppose you want to hide drive E then type "select volume 3"
Then a message will appear in same winwods { Volume 3 is the selected volume}
4. Now type "remove letter E"
Now a message will come { Diskpart Removed the Drive letter } Sometimes it requires the reboot the computer .

Diskpart will now remove the letter .Windows XP will not have the capability to identify the unknown volume.
Your Data is safe now from all unauthorised users.
To access the content of hidden Drive repeat the process mentioned above. But in 4th step replace " remove" with "assign". That means type "assign letter E"

Speed up Your Applications Without Using Any Software!!!

Here is a simple trick you can use to speed up your applications, that too without the use of any 3rd party softwares!!!

6- Its Default Value Is: 3
7- Change The Value To: 6
8- Now Close The Registry Editor And Restart Your Computer

Here is a new method through which you can download unlimited files through Rapidshare Doesn't matter what router you have, whether you are using ADSL modem to connect, it will work for you. The only catch is you must be sure that whenever you disconnect and reconnect your Internet, you should get a new IP address. So here's another perfect way to unlimited Rapidshare downloading.The program is called (E)lephant. This is how (E)lephant looks like. Nothing special, just like a download manager.

Before we can start using (E)lephant to automate unlimited downloading from RapidShare, you'll need to configure it. Most important configuration is the reconnector. That's where it will auto reconnect your internet connection to get a new IP address.
1- Once downloaded (E)lephant, extract and run (E)lephant.exe (link at the bottom of the page)

2- Click on Options at the menu bar and select Settings.

3- Go to the Reconnector tab. I am not going to teach you on how to use the built-in reconnector because it might not work for everyone. I am sure that the external connector method will work for everyone with all types of connections.

4- For people that is using MODEM to connect to ADSL.
Open notepad and type in the code shown below and save it as rasdial.bat %systemroot%\system32\rasdial "streamyx" /disconnect
%systemroot%\system32\ping -n 20 127.0.0.1 >nul
%systemroot%\system32\rasdial "streamyx" "user" "pass" There is 3 lines. First line will disconnect your current connection. You need to change the "streamyx" to your connection name. To know what is the connection name, see the title of the dial up.The second line will ping localhost 20 times which is good to let your modem rest for 20 seconds before reconnecting again.

The third line will auto dial up to your ISP. Again, change the "streamyx" to your connection name, then "user" to your username and "pass" to your password.Once you have the rasdial.bat file ready, try running the batch file and see if it will automatically disconnect your Internet, wait for 20 seconds and then reconnect. If it works, continue to step 5. If not, check your connection name, username and password.4b. For people that is using ROUTER to connect to ADSL.
You have to use Macro to record your actions in logging in to your router, disconnect and reconnect. I recommend using free macro Do It Again. Download and install Do It Again. http://www.spacetornado.com/DoItAgain/SetupDoItAgain.msi.

5- Run Do It Again, go to Options and select Associate with .dia files. Now click the Create a New Task button. You will need to manually login to your router using a web browser to manually disconnect and reconnect your connection. Press SCROLL LOCK when you're done and save the task with a name such as "changeip". To test whether it works or not, go to the programs folder which is at C:\Program Files\Do It Again\ and run changeip.dia file. It should automatically open up your web browser, log in to your router, disconnect and reconnect your connection.5. Check Use the external reconnector.

6- If you're using modem, click the .... button to look for your rasdial.bat file and click Set button. For router users, browse to C:\Program Files\Do It Again\DoItAgain.exe and at the next box, enter changeip.dia (the name that you saved earlier) and click Set.

7- Now go to any sites that has Rapidshare links. Use your mouse to highlight the links, right click and select Copy.

8. A small (E)lephant window will popup asking you to add the links. Just click Add button.

9. All links will be added to (E)lephant. The last thing you need to do here is to click the Start button to start downloading. You will notice that it can auto decrypt and enter Rapidshare CAPTCHA codes and will reconnect your internet whenever it detects that you've have reached the download-limit for free-users.
In my opinion, software like Cryptload, USDownloader and (E)lephant is totally legal because it does not hack or exploit Rapidshare servers. It is only a download manager which has the capability of auto recognizing CAPTCHA code and also ability to run third party tools based on error message detected in Rapidshare. There is nothing they can do other than periodically changing their CAPTCHA images.(E)lephant is VERY new and I believe it has yet to surface.

Crysis is the next generation game that has ultra-realistic graphics, in fact it has the best graphics in any game out there. It needs a really powerful computer to run, a computer that could cost $3000, but it still won't allow you to play the game in its full graphical detail.

The graphics of the game are so beautiful its almost impossible to tell the difference between Real Life and Crysis.

I've been doing this for a long time now. I still listen to a lot of the bands I've found by doing this. It's really simple, but it works like a charm. I ALWAYS find cool new stuff -- sometimes even bands that have been around 10 years that I never heard of.
The things you need:
- (Optional) A file sharing program (I use limewire)
- A browser. :]
1.) Pick one of your favorite bands.
2.) Go to amazon.com or cdnow.com.
3.) Look up that band's name
4.) Scroll down until you see "Customers who bought this title also bought:"
5.) Browse through the artists you've never heard of in that list.
6.) Check out one of their albums, preferably the one with highest rating (in stars)
7.) Either listen to the samples on amazon or download a song by them with your file sharing app.

If you like what you hear, repeat steps 3-7 using the new band's name.
You'll find TONS of new music you never thought existed.
It's a really simple way to find stuff, and I'm sure lots of you probably already do this. But for those who don't -- you'll thank me later. It works wonders.

Watch movies in MS Paint

Well here's a new discovery. You can watch movies in Microsoft Paint. No,I am not joking! Try it out yourself if you don't believe me.

Here's what you got to do :

1-Open your favorite movie player and play the movie.
2-Hit "PrintScreen", keep playing the movie in the player, don't stop it.
3-Open Ms Paint.
4-Select "Edit>Paste" Or Hit "CTRL+V"
5- Presto! You can watch movies in Paint!

But unfortunately there are no Pause, Next, Previous, Stop etc. buttons
